The MICR Automation Imaging System is a mature and comprehensive system.  It includes a full set of features that experience has shown are needed both for smooth operation, and for avoiding problems in the Check 21 World.

In addition to the standard branch capture, CAR/LAR, image proof, image presentment and acceptance, image return support, and image archive, the system provides a number of features not found in most systems.

Fraud detection rules applied to all items from all sources

CAR/LAR on images in incoming electronic cash letters

CAR/LAR on images in incoming RDC batches

Outgoing electronic cash letters checked for duplicates and duplication of items in earlier letters

Immediate rescan of folded, piggy backed, or unreadable teller items for simple creation of perfect transaction sets

Direct access, search, and viewing of entire X9.37 files with display of field definitions for fields being viewed

Removable media maintained in sets, with the backup program keeping all members of the set the same, providing multiple copies in case of media failure and allowing at least one copy in the set to always be off premise
