Email and Internet
Account Information System

From MICR Automation Inc.

Daily account emails to bank customers are not only a very attractive service, but they do more to end fraud and identity theft than anything else can.

For retail customers, the email message contains the amount and short description of each transaction.  Logging onto the bank website allows viewing check images and transaction details.

Retail customer emails show only amounts to avoid disclosing account numbers, and contain a Phish warning.  Advertising messages may also be placed in the daily emails.

For commercial customers, the emails contain encrypted attachments with front and back images of all transaction items and daily reconciliation files.

Commercial customers use the MICR Automation Check Viewer/Manager which automatically decrypts the attachments and stores the images in its own mini-database on the customer PC.  Each commercial customer has a unique Public/Private Key set utilizing 1024 bit strong  encryption.  New key sets are easily created if needed.  Delivering complete information daily provides an attractive and profitable service, and eases the move to truncation.

Both the retail customer website and the daily emails to commercial customers may optionally contain images of items in deposits, maximizing customer convenience and minimizing employee support effort.  ACH and Debit Card transactions  are described using "Virtual Tickets" in daily email attachments and on the website

Safe Secure Self-Hosted Website

Maximum Security - The self-hosted Internet Image Server is specially designed by MICR Automation to meet the needs of community banks.  Its modular design, supported by overnight shipping of system modules and dial-in software maintenance, allows it to be maintained by bank personnel.  It includes two hardware firewalls and a pair of dedicated mini PC's.  The mini PC connected to the Internet firewall handles the hosting and Internet activity, with all transaction image data kept in encrypted form on hard drives controlled by the second mini PC, which is connected through the second firewall  Each mini PC and the firewalls can be replaced by merely unplugging well marked cables and plugging them into the replacement module.

Neither PC is connected to the bank network, totally eliminating any possibility of hacker intrusion .  The complete systems for the PC's are kept on DVD for quick restoration if needed.

Lowest Possible Cost - Self-hosting is not only the most economical way of providing Internet images, but the use of the new generation of low-cost very very large hard drives allows images to be kept online forever.  Daily emails and data for the Internet database are prepared and encrypted by MICR Automation software on the bank image server, and moved to the Internet data PC via DVD or USB.

A broadband link to a local Internet Service Provider and registration of a URL is all that is required.  MICR Automation provides complete turn-key installation, and utilizes the basic colors, patterns, and themes of the bank website as the background.   Complete source code is provided, allowing user modification if desired.  The MICR Automation Internet and Email System works with any imaging system.
